Iron Lungs
Iron Lungs Grading & Landscape Construction was founded on a simple belief: Upstate South Carolina deserves a landscaping company that shows up with the same integrity, discipline, and commitment to excellence as the people who serve this community every day.
We are Ashley and Chuck Pritchett. Before launching Iron Lungs in 2024, we spent more than two decades between us mastering this craft — Chuck in the field and at the firehouse, Ashley in environmental science and state service. Iron Lungs is what happens when those two backgrounds are pointed at the same problem.
That combination matters more than it sounds. Grading is not just moving dirt. Water has to go somewhere, soil behaves differently across the Upstate, and a yard that looks finished can still fail in the first hard rain. Knowing why the ground does what it does is what separates work that lasts from work that has to be redone.
Ashley's background in geology, hydrology and sedimentology informs how we approach drainage and soil. Chuck's twenty years of hands-on grading and landscape work is what turns that into a finished job. Neither half works without the other.
