Will installing lighting tear up my lawn or new sod?

No. We bury low-voltage wire in a narrow slit trench and close it back behind us. On projects where we are also installing sod, we run the lighting wire before the sod goes down so the lawn is never disturbed at all.

Can you add to or repair an existing landscape lighting system?

Yes. We regularly add fixtures to existing systems, replace failed lights and connections, re-aim fixtures that have shifted, and troubleshoot transformers and timers on systems we did not install.

Do the lights turn on automatically?

Yes. Systems are set up with a photocell or timer at the transformer so lights come on at dusk and shut off on the schedule you choose. Smart and app-controlled transformers are available if you want to run the system from your phone.

Can lighting be installed with a new landscape or hardscape project?

That is the best time to do it. Running wire before sod, mulch, and pavers go down means no disturbance, cleaner routing, and lighting that was planned around the finished design instead of squeezed in afterward.

01 Front Bed & Flagpole Lighting Greenville, SC

A complete front-yard package: new sod, a stone-bordered planting bed with a Japanese maple and boulder feature, and low-voltage LED path lights set through the bed and along the flagpole. Wire was buried during bed prep before the sod went down, so the finished lawn was never cut open. The result is a warm, even wash across the whole front of the house with the flag lit from below.

A continuous run of path fixtures carried from the driveway side, along the front walk, and across the full length of the foundation beds on this brick ranch. Fixtures were spaced so the light pools overlap and the brick gets an even graze rather than isolated hot spots — and the whole system was aimed after dark before we called it finished.

How much does landscape lighting cost in Greenville, SC?

Is low-voltage landscape lighting safe?

Yes. A transformer steps 120V household current down to 12V, so the wire running through your beds and lawn carries a small fraction of the power in your house. It's the standard for residential landscape lighting and it's safe around kids, pets, and anyone putting a shovel in a bed later.

Do you use LED fixtures?

Yes. LED landscape lighting draws a fraction of the power old halogen systems did, runs cool to the touch, and lasts for years without bulb changes. It also means one transformer can carry far more fixtures, which keeps the system simpler and the operating cost close to nothing.

Can you add to or repair a system I already have?

Absolutely. We add fixtures to existing runs, replace lights and failed connections, troubleshoot transformers and timers, and re-aim fixtures that have been knocked out of position by mowers or storms — including on systems we didn't install.

Do the lights come on by themselves?

Yes. Every system is set up with a photocell or timer at the transformer, so lights come on at dusk and shut off on whatever schedule you want. If you'd rather control it from your phone, we can install a smart transformer instead.

How many lights does a front yard actually need?

Fewer than most people expect. Good landscape lighting is about even coverage and soft overlap, not maximum brightness — too many fixtures at too high an output makes a house look like a car lot. We'll show you a layout during the estimate and explain why each fixture is where it is.

Should lighting go in with my other landscape work?
